Fall by far is my most favorite season. I love the colors, the smells and the romantic feeling of it all. I love a big puffy sweatshirt or jacket. I love wearing scarves and hats (more lightweight ones though). I love snuggling by a fire. I just love fall. After I dropped E off at preschool, I went on a shooting adventure. I was hoping for a more fall-ish scene but being by the beach, it’s hard to get that without having to drive awhile. Don’t get me wrong - I would totally go the distance to get the perfect shot but I think I may be coming down with something, the flu or whatnot and being pregnant, I have to learn to take it easy. So, sadly, my photo shoot was cut short and I headed home to get some good relaxation and rest.
I hope you enjoy what I did take though. Look at that bokeh! SWOOOON!

Let’s pretend that I haven’t been a bad blogger for the past 6 months.
There’s been quite a few changes in my life since I posted my last entry.
The very first and biggest is that we found out that we’re expecting our second child - another little boy! We’re so lucky! He is expected to arrive February 20th, 2010.
These ultrasound pictures were taken at 10.5 weeks.

We’ve since at another scan at 20 weeks but little man was moving around like crazy so no good pictures from then.
This little bean is my excuse for being completely gone… I was SO sick with morning sickness. Really, why do they even call it morning sickness when it lasts A L L D A Y L O N G?
Our big boy started preschool this fall as well. Truthfully, I was a nervous wreck… there’s reasons why I am a stay at home mom and I felt like enrolling him in preschool might take away from those reasons. I have been proven totally wrong though! Ethan has been learning so much and I am so proud of him. He loves his teacher and the interaction with the other kiddos there and I love the 6 hour break. I get excited every day when I go pick him up. I’m excited to hear him talk about what he did that day and the things he painted/drew/created.
Lastly, I have been trying to find the right look and feel for my website and blog for what seems like forever now. There’s going to be some BIG changes done here. I hope you’re just as excited as I am! I finally have a logo and brand that I love and truly represents me and what my photography is all about, thanks to my new friends at Luxecetera. I can’t wait to share it!! Patience is a virtue though, right? I am so excited to just get it out there that I feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve but these things cannot be rushed but I can tell you that it’ll be soon!!
My favorite pictures of E & I over the this last year . Just snapshots but they are us together. It’s hard when you’re the photographer.

Before his first haircut, do you see those curls?! Sigh, miss them!

Babywearing is special to us and definitely was a huge part of our lives this past year.

First Halloween Trick-or-Treating!

Sadly this has made me realize we don’t nearly have enough pictures together.
A change is definitely in the works!
E today, taken with my 300. I love it.

Mister Connor is the most adorable squishiest 10 month old EVAAARRRR! Do you see this precious face? I could have spent all day with him, luckily I get to spend next Wednesday with him, shooting at The Eldredge House!

Thanks Brooke & Joe for letting me photograph your beautiful baby boy!
E is sick and Nick had surgery on Thursday so we’ve just been at home relaxing all weekend.
Since E’s haircut, I’ve been wanting to see his hair like this because it never stayed up when his hair was longer, it didn’t this time either. I guess his hair is just too fine.

(you can somewhat see his scar under his chin here)

And this picture is what he does when he says ‘I took a bath and SCREAMED!’ (steaming from his accident. he’s back to loving his baths now but for awhile he would scream and then tell everyone about it later.)
Just some others that I loved:
The front of my house is North facing, I just love the light from it!
Experimenting with a warmer B&W

E’s never worn yellow before but now he can thanks to Grandma!!
I’m LOVING black & white right now:

Roo needs his haircut at least once a month, really, it should be more like every 2 and half weeks - his hair just grows insanely fast! Today we took a trip down to the Barber’s. I was debating on the way down what to do with it. I like to keep it long because…….well, it makes him still look like a baby boy not a toddler. Is that sad? He’s growing up TOO fast!
I’ve been curious to see what it looks like short because he’s never really had it short [besides when he was a bitty baby]. I almost chickened out but Nick really talked me into it so…..I present my Rooster man with really short hair!

Here’s the view from the back:
(I know it’s a weird picture but you need the full effect)

Oh my! See why I keep it long? He looks like a LITTLE MAN!
Oh, you need to see a before so you understand what I mean. Here you go:
